The industry loses one of its own

Bud Watts Tellett

Chuck (Bud) died peacefully at the South Muskoka Hospital in Bracebridge, ON on November 18, 2016. Beloved spouse to Marcel Paulin for 37 years and beloved brother to Gail, Michael, Ross and Kim. He will be missed by his in-laws Mary, Crystal and Robert, his nieces Jennifer (Ian) and Kacie, and nephew Ryan (Tara). He will also be missed by Charlie O Tillsonburg, “the best dog in the whole wild world”.

He was liked and respected in the business world. After a successful career as sales representative and manager for Cassidy and Royal Worcester in Ontario and Western Canada, Chuck started his own wholesale company, C.W. Associates, which was successful and employed over 20 employees. He was chairman of the Canadian Gift and Tableware Association for two years.

Chuck was gregarious and was always the life of the party. An avid skier, he spent many days on the slopes of Blue Mountain in Collingwood and Whistler, B.C.  Muskoka was also a big part of his life since his teenage years. He enjoyed cottage life on Lake Leonard where he and his spouse invited family and friends to share the joy of life at the lake. In 2010, he and Marcel moved to Port Carling at their current home on Lake Muskoka. He enjoyed the arts, music and was a true blue Maple Leafs fan. Horse racing was also one of his passions. Chuck and a friend shared ownership of Ginger Dish who went to win a few races at the Woodbine racetrack to the delight of the owners.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to Parkinson Canada or the South Muskoka Hospital Bracebridge.
