1. Who is eligible to become a member of the Canadian Gift Association?
Thank you for your interest in joining the Canadian Gift Association (CanGift). CanGift is the primary community of suppliers who sell wholesale goods to Canada's diverse retail gift, tableware and household accessories industry. Membership opportunities are available to manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, importers and exporters who meet the product criteria established by the CanGift Board of Directors.

Please note: Companies whose primary business functions are retail, direct-to-consumer or are service-based are not eligible for membership in the Canadian Gift Association.

2. What is the difference between Gold and Silver membership?
Two levels of membership exist within CanGift. If you wish to exhibit at the next Toronto Gift Fair, you would apply for Gold membership. If your company does not wish to exhibit at the next Toronto Gift Fair, but you are interested in exhibiting in the future, you would apply for Silver membership.

Please note: You must be a Gold member to exhibit at the Toronto Gift Fair. You do not need to be a member to exhibit at the Alberta and/or Quebec Gift Fairs.

3. How does my company become a member of the Canadian Gift Association?
Complete a membership application form and return it to the Canadian Gift Association together with your additional mandatory documentation. Click here to download an application and to review a checklist to ensure your submission is complete.

4. What is the annual membership fee?
Those companies interested in applying for membership are required to pay a one-time initiation fee of $500. Gold members pay $500 per year and Silver members pay $350 per year. Silver members who become Gold members and new exhibitors at the Toronto Gift Fair will be required to pay a $150 upgrade fee. Please see the application form for applicable taxes.

5. What are the benefits of becoming a member?
We help our members to Know More, Sell More and Spend Less. In fact, a CanGift membership can be self-financing, as the money saved by participating in group discount programs and preferred supplier rates can easily recover the cost of annual membership fees - and then some! The CanGift specialized, value-added programs can help members save in virtually all areas of operations.
