The Canadian Gift Association is committed to giving all attendees a safe and enjoyable trade show at the Alberta Gift + Home Market.
We are saddened to announce the cancellation of our Fall Market scheduled for August 23-26, 2020 at the Edmonton EXPO Centre. The venue is currently being repurposed by the City of Edmonton and Alberta Health Sciences and is serving as a day programming facility for vulnerable members of the community. It is not known when it will open for trade shows and as a result of the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, the CanGift Board of Directors has made the decision to cancel the market.
Over the past few weeks, we have been working hard to develop programs that support the relationship between wholesale companies and retailers as well as provide you with knowledge on how to navigate the health of your business during this unprecedented time. We are as committed as ever to delivering opportunities that will assist your retail business and support the gift industry going forward.
We encourage you to stay connected with us. We are regularly sharing useful and insightful information by email, social media, webinars and on our blog. Our team is planning to launch new initiatives to bridge the social distancing gap between wholesalers and retailers.
At this time, the Spring 2021 market is not affected, and we look forward to welcoming you back to the Alberta Gift + Home Market, February 21-24, 2021.
According to Health Canada and local Public Health Officials, here are a few tips for you to keep in mind and stay healthy:
• Wash your hands often with soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizer
• Sneeze and cough into your sleeve
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth
• Avoid contact with people who are sick
• Stay home if you are sick
