Known as the premiere garden centre and gift shop in Kingsville, Cindy’s Home and Garden started as a greenhouse operation in 1989, expanding in 1997 to include a small gift store. Under the guidance of owners Ken and Christine Martin, it has grown into a 6,500 square foot boutique gift shop, seasonal garden centre and country store.
Cindy’s carries an array of one-of-a-kind gifts and a variety of top-quality merchandise, which change frequently to match both new trends and the tastes of their customers. Spacious 16-foot ceilings draw customers to explore an abundance of items ranging from home décor and garden accents to giftware, clothing and fashion accessories.
“On behalf of the owners, management and staff at Cindy’s, we would like to thank the CGTA for awarding us as the 2015 Retailer of Distinction,” says general manager Tammy Webster.
“We’d also like to say a big THANK YOU to our loyal shoppers who provide us with the inspiration to be the best we can be, helping us achieve the amazing honour of being the Canadian Retailer of Distinction for 2015.”
Cindy’s is actively involved in the community, supporting local youth sports teams and charities. Last year they were awarded with the 2014 Integrity Award from the Better Business Bureau and Christine was named one of Canada’s Top Female Entrepreneurs by Chatelaine. Ken was the recipient of the Business Excellence Award from the Kingsville BIA in 2012.
“Over the past 26 years we have strived to give our customers the best shopping experience possible by providing great value for the dollar, excellent customer service, all in a clean, comfortable and pleasant atmosphere,” says owner Ken Martin. “It is by adhering to this philosophy that we have been able to grow our business, as everything we do every day is centered on delivering a unique and exciting shopping experience to each and every customer.”
